I said I wouldn’t write on this thing unless I had something profound to say.

I don’t think I have anything to profound to say yet – generally I try to save those things for my stories.  But I have a real need to reach out to You, my readers, the lovers of my words and my ideas.

There is so much that I want to share with You all, over the course of this journey.

I’ve been writing since I was in fourth grade.  I remember I was in Mr. Augustine Patrone’s fourth grade class at PS 226 when I wrote a four page story about elves who lived in a tree.  I wish I would have had the forethought to have held on to my early writings but somehow, I don’t think it would have survived the move from Brooklyn to Miami some years later.

But yes, I began writing at that young age.  I didn’t think what I wrote was all that praise worthy but by the pats on the back I received and the fact that my story made it onto special paper and tacked onto the public student board – I realized that the things I thought and had in mind mattered to other people in a way I think I still don’t fully understand.

And so… this blog will be about my writings, my existence as a writer, my living as a disabled person and my thoughts on being a lesbian.  But mainly?  It will be about my writings.

Welcome.
